We have fun and we work hard!

What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is the best strength and conditioning program available.  CrossFit is the sport of life; it is also really fun.  You are coached to develop skill and strength in movements you do everyday in the real world like squatting, standing up, picking up heavy items, pushing weight overhead, and running after your kids.  CrossFit Albuquerque will drive you to meet your fitness, performance, health, and nutritional goals in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Answer:

Yes, CrossFit is for everyone.  Our program is scalable to any fitness and current health level.

Question:

So what will I be doing?

Answer:

Learn correct body weight exercises like squat, lunges, push-ups, and pull-ups.

Learn basic gymnastics like L-sit, ring work, handstands, tucks, and flips.

Learn correct weightlifting like back/front squat, deadlift, presses, and cleans.

Learn Olympic weightlifting: the clean & jerk, and the snatch.

Use kettlebells, barbells, dumbbells, med balls, tires, sledgehammers, and more.

Learn to climb ropes, flip tires, "skin-the-cat", muscle-up, kip, and lots more.

Run, row, and jump rope.

Better yourself by receiving the best tips, thoughts and support to achieve your nutrition, lifestyle and sleep goals. 

Do all of this in a fun, dynamic group setting.  Our group classes are coached throughout the class.  The class will last one hour and will encompass a warmup, skill/strength work, the workout (or WOD), cool down, and discussion.

Why do we train this way?

Answer:

Because it works!  Our program is constantly varied, functional movement, done at a high intensity, over broad time domains.
